Breakdown¶
The Breakdown screen represents all the Breakdown Sheets in your Schedule. Each Breakdown Sheet usually refers to a single scene or part of your project intended to be filmed. In some cases, a sheet may represent parts of scenes or more than one scene.
Layout¶
- The top row of each Breakdown Sheet includes controls for which Stripboard or Segment is active, moving through the sheets in that Segment, and adding or removing new sheets.
- Below is the Scene Header information which has key built-in Categories of information that Movie Magic Scheduling captures for each sheet.
- Between the Scene Header and the Categories is the Quick Add section and the Add Category control.
- Most of the sheet is taken up by the Categories in your Schedule and the Elements assigned to this Breakdown Sheet.
More Customization Options¶
- You have the flexibility to remove Hidden Categories from the display on the Breakdown screen. To do so, toggle the HIDE EMPTY option.
- To hide the Episode field if you are not working on an episodic production, go to the Settings icon (cog) to access the Breakdown Designer. Deselect the Episode Field checkbox and click SAVE & CLOSE to apply.
