Movie Magic Scheduling Files

Movie Magic Scheduling files are saved as .mmsx files.

They are saved on your computer or on EP Cloud as Backups.

You can create a New Schedule from your device, open a backup file, open an existing schedule on your computer, or open a Shared File.

Home screen

New Schedule

You can create and open as many Schedules as needed.

To create a new Schedule file:

  1. Click New Schedule on this Device on the Home screen.
  2. Click the File menu and New Schedule.
  3. Press CTRL + N on Windows, or CMD + N on macOS.
  4. Save. Schedules stay in a temporary state until you save.

Open a Schedule

To open an existing file:

  1. Click Open Schedule on the Home screen.
  2. Click the File menu and Open on this Device...
  3. Press CTRL + O on Windows, or CMD + O on macOS.

Your operating system will open your file navigation window. Navigate to the file, select it, and click Open.

Import a Schedule from Legacy Movie Magic Scheduling 6

To import a .msd (Movie Schedule Data) file from Legacy Movie Magic Scheduling 6:

  1. Click Open Schedule on the Home screen.
  2. Click the File menu and Open on this Device...
  3. Press CTRL + O on Windows, or CMD + O on macOS.

Your operating system will open your file navigation window. Navigate to the Legacy Movie Magic Scheduling 6 file, select it, and click Open.

The file will open in Movie Magic Scheduling in a temporary state. You can Save the Schedule to the .mmsx format.

Note

As a safeguard, the imported Schedule will be in the Boneyard of your Board until you move the new strips to the proper Board.

EP Cloud Backup

Your Schedules are automatically backed up to EP Cloud. See EP Cloud Backup for full details.
